Backing Up and Restoring Your Data
Every
computer user understands that bad things can
happen, and that losing data can represent a serious
loss of time and productivity. TRAP-ITÔ
provides a back-up feature that safely archives your
Food Security Plan in a location of your choice, and
a simple means of restoring it, should the need ever
arise.
|

The Back-up function allows you to specify a
back-up file location and then safely archive all of
your data.
Restoring a back-up is as simple as supplying the
location of the back-up file. The back-up is
then used to automatically replace your current data.
You can change the timing of the automatic back-up function, or eliminate it completely from the Automatic Back-up configuration dialog.
|
The automatic backup is performed every 30 or 60 minutes, and when the Planner software is shut down.
If there's a problem, you can turn off the automatic back-up until you get help from TRAP-IT.
After you change your settings, click "Save settings" to make the changes or "Cancel" to close the dialog without saving your changes.
In order to automatically back up your data, you need to have a removable memory card inserted into the PCMCIA slot on your tablet.
You need to prepare the memory card before it can be used. The memory card provided with your tablet is already prepared.
If you need to prepare a new memory card, insert it into the PCMCIA slot on your tablet. Then, click "Fill drive list" and use the pull-down list to select the memory card.
Finally, click "Prepare removable drive to accept automated back-up data" to mark the memory card for your use.
