All
Entrants will be assigned a security clearance level
by the Personnel department. The TRAP-ITÔ PLANNER
identifies six predefined security clearance
levels. The purpose of this step is to assign a
security clearance level to each identified
individual or group (Entrant). The security
clearance completes the identification of the
Entrant and defines the ACCESS rules associated with
their movement within your facility.
There are
six security levels defined in the drop down
“security clearance” data field:
-
Full
Given full unrestricted access to the facility.
People assigned this clearance are recognized by
facility management as being absolutely
trustworthy.
-
Escorted
Granted access with minimal security clearance.
People assigned this clearance must be
accompanied by an escort with full access
security clearance.
-
Supervised
Granted access to the facility only when the
facility is staffed with personnel having full
access security clearance.
-
Restricted
Granted access only to specified areas of the
facility that are clearly marked. Movement to
and from the restricted areas may only occur
under escort.
-
Denied
Prohibited from entry to the facility. This is
the default clearance assigned to all entry
applicants, until their assigned security
clearance is upgraded.
-
Discretionary
Personnel may, at their discretion, assign a
special security clearance exemption, with any
access rules they feel appropriate. The access
rules of this clearance level must be kept on
the Entrant at all times.
When am I done with this step?
This step is complete when you have assigned
appropriate security clearance levels to every Entrant you identified in Step 2b.
