Step 6 - Audit Your Security Plan

At this point in the Security Planning process, you should have developed site-specific food security countermeasures for:

  • Qualifying Entrants into your facility,
  • Controlling entries (ACCESS) into your food security PERIMETERS, and
  • Securing individual food TARGETS.

In this Step the TRAP-IT PLANNER gives you the tools you need to audit the execution of your Plan.  The PLANNER will generate a detailed specification of the countermeasures you have developed.  The specifications will allow an auditor to examine the status of your Security Plan, by comparing the existing security measures with those presented in the Food Product Security Plan.  The tools available in this Step will confirm or refute that countermeasures have been implemented.  When all countermeasures have been implemented, you can declare/certify, with appropriate signatures, your Food Product Security Plan is fully in force.

Each time an Audit is conducted, the PLANNER will ask for the documentation of results of the audit, including corrective actions and amendments, and records the findings into an audit history.
